| Full Story: | I was assured that we had been give a regular booking at Whitcliffe until our return to Batley, however, as those of you who turned up last Monday (10th) found out, those assurances were not quite that assured: no courts had been booked! Sorry to all that were turned away. Anyway, after some very strong representation by the staff at Batley, the booking has now definitely been confirmed. Thus, courts until the beginning of October are as follows: Monday 17th August : 1 court 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, 1 court 8.00 pm to 9.30 pm. Monday 24th August : 2 courts 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Monday 31st August : No club, Bank Holiday. Mondays September : 2 courts 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Now, for the next complication… we’re not going to get back into Batley until 2nd November. This means that we definitely need to have facility to play matches. The good news is that, we’ve managed to extend the Whitcliffe booking throughout October and with more courts. The booking is as follows: Mondays October : 3 courts 7.00pm to 9.00 pm. This means that we will be able to play matches and we should do our best to get a match arranged on each of these evenings (as we pay regardless). It may be a bit of a struggle to fit club nights in, but we may be able to book extra courts on a weekly basis (as per the public), to ease the situation. What all this means for Winter Club arrangements is still to be confirmed, but I will do so shortly. Thanks for your patience, David |
